I'm a filmmaker but I have a hard time calling myself a 'filmmaker' when I've only ever shot on DV. With 20 shorts and one feature under my belt, I've also got a wife and one year old son under there, too.
I'm a big big fan of 80's crap cinema, and some 80's not so crap cinema ranging from Robocop to Dead Heat. I'm also a fan of all things movies, as well, which is good considering my chosen profession. As with any schlock filmmaker I got interested in the hows and whys when I say Toxic Avenger and Robocop around age 7, it wasn't until I saw Clerks that I figured I could actually make a movie. That's when I grabbed all my friends and we started making crappy internet shorts. Luckily I met with friend/colleague Kevin Woods and he helped me write and produce my first feature, a horror, called Survival. Andrew loved it.
I also do freelance production work in Texas, with The Van Zandt Shakedown and my own 2nd feature Temporary Ink: An End Of The World Comedy set to shoot in 2008.
I live with my wife and one year old son in a small lake town directly outside of Dallas, Tx.
