I am an independent writer/filmmaker born in upstate New York (how original, eh?), currently residing in Greenville, SC. My time is spent quite evenly between listening to music, reading, writing, editing video and watching movies. I am as much of a music fanatic as a I am a film fanatic. I enjoy working with musicians and have worked on numerous music videos over the past few years. I have also been writing and producing short films with my close friends for many years now. I attended the Art Institute of Atlanta to study video production. Afterwards, I worked various freelance video gigs in the Atlanta area, from weddings and sports events to live music and commercial, before relocating to Greenville. Now, recently unemployed, I can finally refer to myself as a true independent filmmaker! I am as passionate about the process and craft of filmmaking as I am with watching the finished product. Most of my favorite films are from the 50's, 60's and 70's, but that's not because I feel that the quality of filmmaking is inferior these days... Is it? Only after seeing a film like "Battlefield Earth" would you think that. But it couldn't get much worse than that... could it?
