M.R. # 3- Transformers: The Animated Series
The animated series picks up fifty years after the film. The Autobots (Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Prowl, Ratchet, & Bulkhead) are learning to adjust to the human world all while defending the city of Detroit against evil villains.
I believe the series picks up at the letter ‘E’ where the movie stopped in the word ‘AWESOME’ ( I really hope that makes as much sense as it made in my head). The new generation should have no problem planting themselves in front of the TV whenever it comes on. I even think the old school fans will like it more quickly than they would expect. The story-line is fresh, the ‘pre decepticon’ villains are quite different, but they play their parts as being warm-ups. Optimus Prime does strangely sound more human than the others, but  he’s still Prime. To make a long story quite short,  I see a four and a half star performance.
The Transformers animated series joins our favorite car bots fifty years after the movie released last year, and is set in the city of Detroit. The story-line doesn’t lose much steam except for not being able to have Megan Fox in it. The villains are fresh and  quite entertaining, but are immediately identified as simply being time consumers until the much waited return of Megatron. The bots are played rather well, but I do wonder why Prime sounded more like me instead of  Bumblebee or Ratchet.  I do enjoy the way the storyline unfolds, it builds anticipation for season 2.  I can ramble on and on about what else is good, but  I’ll just save all three of my readers’ time. The animated series is pretty good.
The return of Megatron could’ve destroyed more of the city, but its season one. Other than that, I must apologize to all of my pessimistic readers, but these eager eyes did not see any major flaws in the animated version of the already successful movie. If you spot any, please let me know so I may ridicule you to the harshest of my ability.
