Ok the movie industry is out to ruin to movies by making sequels to movies that should never, ever be made. Well, sadly, the industry’s newest victim is ‘Donnie Darko’. Seeking a $10 million budget, the sequel, titled ‘S. Darko’, will follow Donnie’s sister, Samantha, as she treks to L.A. with her friend and, of course, she starts to have visions and then it’s same song second verse with this fiasco that will ultimately will most likely become the latest movie cluttering the direct-to-DVD bin in your local gas station. The only saving grace is that Richard Kelly is neither writing nor directing this one, proving that at least some people have some pride in this business.
