I do believe the Wachowski brothers have succeeded in adapting one of the most famous anime titles to the big screen. The first trailer for "Speed Racer" gives a glimpse into a world of implausible race tracks, insane cars, and unbelievable scenery. Not once while watching this trailer did this film look campy. Its gonna be fun, period
