Hey Mom, There’s a Monster in my Cereal!

Hey there monster fans-
I am posting a little tribute to 3 of my favorite monsters, Boo Berry, Count Chocula, and Franken Berry. I grew up with these guys in the early 1970’s, and at it appears they have stuck around to still spook the kiddies at breakfast time like they did for me many years ago. General Mills first came out with Count Chocula and Franken Berry in 1971, and followed up with Boo Berry (my personal favorite) in 1973, and Fruit Brute in 1974 (in 1983, General Mills changed him to Yummy Mummy, and discontinued that flavor in 1988). You can find a plethora of vintage premiums and boxes on eBay if you’ve got money to blow, and in recent years there have been some tribute toys by Funco and Kubrick.
